Oven-roast potatoes


Bob's Roast potatoes

These oven roast potatoes are make a lovely side dish for an informal barbecue/braai.


  • 6 potatoes, peeled and cut diagonally
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ packet of brown onion soup
  • 2 Tbsp butter


Lightly grease a roasting pan with olive oil.

Slice medium potatoes horizontally.

Scrape the surface with a fork.

Brush lightly with olive oil.

Sprinkle with brown onion soup. Dot with butter.

Roast at 180  degrees  centigrade for 30 minutes or until crisp and golden.

Lovely as a side-dish with a roast or a braai.
